Every new Sprecho account begins with 14 days of full Pro access. There is nothing to activate, no card to enter, and no charge when it runs out.
This article covers how it starts, what it includes, how to see how much is left, and what actually happens on day 15.
How to start it
You do not. The trial starts when you create your account, and the onboarding tells you so with a "14 day free trial" badge.
If you are installing Sprecho for the first time, see Create your account and start the trial.
What the trial includes
Full Pro, not a sample of it:
- Unlimited words per week — the Free cap does not apply
- Dictation into every application, with the full AI formatting
- Your personal dictionary with auto-learning
- Snippets, notes and the full dictation history
- 100+ languages with automatic detection
- Sprecho on desktop and on iOS and Android
No credit card. No payment method on file. Nothing to cancel.
Because there are no payment details, there is nothing that can be charged by accident. The trial does not "convert" into a subscription — a subscription only starts if you deliberately go through checkout.
Checking how many days are left
Open Sprecho, go to Settings → Plans & Billing. The Pro Trial card shows the number of days remaining and the exact date the trial ends, along with two buttons to continue on a monthly or an annual plan.
What happens on day 15
Your account moves to the Free plan. Concretely:
| Charged | Nothing |
| Words per week | 2,000, resetting every Monday |
| Your dictionary, snippets, notes | Kept, untouched |
| Your dictation history | Kept, fully searchable |
| Your account | Stays open |
The app shows a summary screen when the trial ends — how many words you spoke, how much time you saved — with a button to continue on Pro and a link to continue free with 2,000 words per week. Either choice is fine; there is no deadline on the decision.
If you are in a team whose trial has ended, the team owner is the one who purchases licences. Every member keeps the free 2,000 words per week in the meantime.
Continuing on Pro
Click Continue with Pro on the trial screen, or Continue Monthly / Continue Annual on the Plans & Billing page. You will pick a plan, enter a billing address and choose a payment method.
Payment runs through Mollie, a European payment provider — cards, SEPA Direct Debit and PayPal. See Payment methods and invoices.
Current prices are on the pricing page.
Making the trial count
Two weeks is enough to answer three questions, and it is worth answering them deliberately rather than dictating a few test sentences on day one:
- How many words a week do you actually dictate? Your history has the number. That is what decides Free versus Pro.
- Does it recognise your vocabulary? Add the names and terms you use most to your dictionary early, so you are judging Sprecho at its best rather than at its coldest.
- Is the formatting right for the apps you work in? Try both formatting models on the Models page.
